Our Biggest Christmas Yet!

By Heather Mellican

This Christmas, Ray White continued its popular tradition of giving with the return of A Little Ray of Giving.

Every year, Australians are asked to donate a gift for a deserving child and drop it into one of their participating Ray White offices.

This year, our Ray White Reservoir office partnered with the Preston Salvation Army for our fourth year, to help distribute the gifts to disadvantaged families and children.

Marking our biggest year to date, our office smashed last year’s previous record of 243 gifts with an incredible 400 presents under our tree, bringing our combined total with our Preston office to a jaw-dropping 620 presents.

Director’s Arthur Mitsinikos and John Catanzariti were overwhelmed by the response from our local school partners, local businesses and the local community.

“This is what Christmas is all about. Watching the presents grow under our tree each day is always such an amazing sight,” Arthur said.

“We couldn’t have achieved this result without the support of all of the local businesses and schools that got behind the campaign and it is such a great way that we can give back at the end of the year.”

Our office had a great response not only from our clients and the local community, but also had a great support from some of our local schools and businesses this year, with Reservoir West Primary School and Maharishi School and St Gabriel’s Primary School all participating.

“As we move into the festive season it is essential that we remember those less fortunate than ourselves.  The festive season calls us to think of others.  The Ray White campaign is an excellent initiative in which presents for children who may go without are collected,” said St Gabriel’s Principal, Mark Miatello

“I think it’s important that our students and their families have the opportunity to give back and be of service to others, especially during this time of the year.”

We would also like to make a mention to the businesses that contributed to the campaign this year with F45 Reservoir, Goff Electrical, Reservoir Skin Fitness Centre, MG Property Maintenance and David Miles all helping toward bringing some Christmas cheer.

“We would like to thank everyone that dropped by a gift, no matter how big and small. We are delighted that we can be involved this Christmas campaign and help give back to the community and help create 400 smiles this Christmas” Arthur said.

Ray White has run this initiative across Australia and New Zealand each December since 2012. Last year more than 300 offices across Australia and New Zealand helped raise 30,000 gifts for disadvantaged families this Christmas.
