Even if you aren’t looking to sell until later in the year, there is still plenty of work that can be done in the lead-up to the busy autumn season. If you are planning on selling this year, there is no time like the present to prepare your home for sale.
Timing: Despite speculation, there is no such thing as the right time to sell. Don’t be scared of selling at the start of the year, as buyers are always looking for a property, no matter what time of year.
The great outdoors: If you’re looking to sell, make sure you look after your outdoor areas in the warmer months so they are presentable when you are ready to sell. Water your garden and keep pot plants out of direct sunlight and think about a fresh lick of paint to your fences.

Declutter: Before the year kicks in, you might find some spare time to tidy the house. Consider what you will take to your new home and clear out anything that can be donated, sold or thrown away.
